We know what you’re thinking: Mushrooms in a latte? Sounds odd.

But don’t be alarmed from the title. But, yes, the rise of mushrooms - as in fungi - has been considered as one of the top wellness trends of 2017. To your surprise, it’s not as scary as you think.

Forget sugary, vitamin infused waters - the rise of hyper-functional, ultra-healthy beverages are hitting the market, hard. The use of select mushroom varieties isn’t really a new idea; ancient remedies and blends have been used for their adaptogenic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antiviral, and immune-enhancing properties.

The use of exotic mushrooms originally steamed from Asia, but are quickly becoming available in dried, liquid extract or in capsule form.
